Georges Elhedery is Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Holdings, one of the world's largest banking and financial services organisations. He joined HSBC in 2005 and built his career primarily within the investment banking division, rising to lead Global Banking and Markets. He served as Co-Chief Executive of Global Banking and Markets before being appointed Group Chief Financial Officer in 2023. He succeeded Noel Quinn as Group CEO in September 2024.

Elhedery holds academic credentials in engineering and finance, and his background spans trading, capital markets, and senior management across multiple geographies.
