Oliver Kent-Braham is co-founder and co-CEO of Marshmallow, the London-based insurtech he established alongside his twin brother Alexander and their co-founder David Goaté. Marshmallow was built to address pricing disparities faced by immigrants and international licence holders in the UK car insurance market, using alternative data and technology to assess risk more accurately for customers underserved by traditional insurers.

The company achieved unicorn status in 2021 following a funding round that valued it at over $1 billion, making it one of a small number of Black-founded startups in Europe to reach that milestone. Kent-Braham has spoken publicly on diversity in technology and venture capital, as well as on the role of data-driven underwriting in modernising insurance.
