Rishi Khosla co-founded OakNorth in 2015 alongside Joel Patel, building the UK-based digital bank with a focus on lending to growth-stage businesses that traditional banks have historically underserved. Before OakNorth, he co-founded Copal Partners, a financial research and analytics outsourcing firm, which was subsequently acquired by Moody's Corporation in 2014.
As Chief Executive, Khosla has overseen OakNorth's development into one of the few UK challenger banks to achieve consistent profitability, a distinction that has drawn considerable attention in a sector where losses are common. The bank's credit analysis platform has also been licensed to financial institutions in other markets, extending its reach beyond direct lending.
