Sundar Pichai is the Chief Executive Officer of Alphabet, Google's parent company, a position he has held since Alphabet's restructuring in 2019. He first became CEO of Google in 2015, having risen through the organisation after joining in 2004. His early tenure at Google was marked by product leadership roles spanning the Chrome browser, Chrome OS, and Google Drive, as well as oversight of the Android mobile operating system. Trained as a metallurgical engineer at IIT Kharagpur, he later studied materials science at Stanford and holds an MBA from the Wharton School. Under his leadership, Google has expanded its cloud computing division and placed significant emphasis on artificial intelligence research and integration across its product portfolio.
