Will Shu co-founded Deliveroo in London in 2013, alongside Greg Orlowski, after identifying a gap in the market for restaurant-quality food delivery. Before launching the company, he worked as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley in New York and London, an experience he has cited as directly motivating the idea: long hours left little time to access good food.
Under his leadership, Deliveroo expanded across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia, and completed a London Stock Exchange listing in 2021. Shu has remained closely involved in the operational and strategic direction of the business, and is known for continuing to ride deliveries himself periodically. He serves as Chief Executive of the publicly listed company.
